The season of Reflection ends with a reckoning—and a release.
Some would call it Verdi’s best opera, his Messa da Requiem is one of the most profound works ever written for orchestra, chorus, and soloists. Written in memory of a friend, this sacred work carries the expressive weight of Verdi’s dramas — at once intimate and monumental. It isn’t a spectacle, but a deep exploration of human emotion: mourning, questioning, hope.
Featuring a cast of international-caliber soloists, including soprano Tiffany Townsend, mezzo-soprano Ashley Dixon, Ricardo Garcia, tenor and bass Jason Zacher, and the full CSO Chorus under the direction of Darrin Hassevoort, this concert marks the end of a season centered on looking back—and opens the door to what comes next.
What to expect:
- Over 100 musicians and voices on stage.
- International soloists in one of Verdi’s most powerful works.
- A concert you’ll feel as much as hear.
This performance is part of the CSO’s 25-26 Season: Reflection. This season is the first chapter of Unspoken: Our Story Through Sound, a journey that spans three seasons. Learn more here >
