Music in Our Schools Month: Bring a Professional Quintet to Your School
For more than 40 years, March has been designated Music In Our Schools Month (MIOSM) — a nationwide celebration of the value music education brings to every student. This year, CSO is joining the celebration by sending one of our professional quintets to perform a free concert at your school.
In-School Performances and Sectional Coachings
Musicians of the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera are pleased to offer free in-school performances for middle and high school band and orchestra students, at no cost to your program. We also offer sectional coachings led by our professional musicians for a fee.
The following form is for requests that fall outside Music in Our Schools Month performance dates. A member of our education team will follow up with scheduling.
For Your Top Musicians: Grow with the Chattanooga Youth Symphony
Since 1949, the Chattanooga Youth Symphony has provided the region's students with a music community offering orchestral training and performance opportunities, cultivating lifelong musicianship and arts advocacy. Auditions for the 2026-27 season are open now, and I would love to see more of your students take the stage — I'm happy to talk through placement with you personally.
How To Sign Up for Young People's Concerts (2026-2027)
Step 1 — Fill Out the CSO Sign-Up Form.
Complete the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera registration form (Google Forms Link) to reserve your Young People's Concert date and seats.
Step 2 — Fill Out the ArtsBuild Trip Form.
Register your field trip with ArtsBuild so your visit is confirmed on their calendar.
Step 3 — Request Your Bus Through ArtsBuild
Request student transportation for your concert as soon as your trip is confirmed.
Step 4 — Explore Our Resources
Dig into curriculum resources to prep your class before the concert.

Hamilton County Schools: visits scheduled 9 AM–3 PM
Schools outside Hamilton County: visits scheduled 10 AM–3 PM
