Go beyond the performance and step inside the rehearsal room. Behind the Curtain is a free, open-to-the-public event offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how Ilya Ram collaborates with guest artists to prepare Verdi’s Requiem.

Moderated by Ilya, this interactive session will feature all four Requiem soloists on stage, along with pianist Jason Duroy, for a live working rehearsal. Through conversation and demonstration, audiences will witness how conductor and soloists shape musical interpretation, refine ensemble, and bring dramatic moments to life.

Select passages from the Requiem will be explored in real time, offering insight into vocal technique, collaboration, and the artistry behind one of the most powerful works in the choral repertoire.

Whether you’re a seasoned concertgoer or simply curious about what happens before the downbeat, this is a unique opportunity to experience the music from the inside out.
