All-Accessible: The Orchestra Moves
Price
Adult: $10
The CSO welcomes everyone to our performances, but we know that some families hesitate to bring their family members to a live concert without knowing how they might react. Our All-Accessible Concert is designed to be a safe and accepting environment where patrons with disabilities or sensory sensitivities along with their family members are free to speak and move in reaction to the music being played. This concert features our full orchestra in the concert hall setting.
This year, the CSO presents, The Orchestra Moves! By any definition, music moves. As organized sound, music moves through time and space from high to low, creating patterns and motifs. Composers and performers use expressive qualities to move us emotionally. Music also compels us to move physically and is embodied in many kinds of dance. Together, we will discover all the interwoven ways in which the orchestra moves.
UTC's Music Therapy department will be on hand to help patrons engage with the music. This concert will have open seating, ASL interpretation, captioning, lighted cues, designated quiet spaces, and headphones and manipulatives available for use. Portable changing spaces are available during the concert.
