The Ms. Floy Wang scholarship is in memory of Ms. Wang's service as conductor of the former Etude & Prelude orchestras from 2014-2018. Each season, two full tuition scholarships ($450 each) are awarded to new members of the Symphony Orchestra. Recipients are selected based on a letter of recommendation.

The Leonard B. Murray, Jr. Scholarship is in recognition of his lifelong belief in the power of education and the arts, The Leonard B. Murray, Jr. Scholarships provides one full year of tuition for a CYS member. This award honors Mr. Murray, a former CSO board member, by supporting a young musician who demonstrates dedication, curiosity, and a spirit of adventure, qualities that defined his remarkable life. The recipient of this scholarship will be chosen by the recommendation of the CYS Music Director.

Student Managers are needed each season of CYS. Two Student Managers are selected by the conductor. They receive a 50% discount off the regular tuition rate.

A limited number of needs-based scholarships are available to musicians who successfully audition and are selected.

Current CYS members who plan to attend the Sewanee Summer Music Festival can apply to be selected and awarded a tuition scholarship.
