P.D.Q Bach - Musical Sacrifice
Fine - Dancing Winds
Join the CSO as they take on a variety of 20th century works. P.D.Q Bach, the fictional relative of Johann Sebastian Bach and alter ego of contemporary composer Peter Schickele, responds to Bach’s Musical Offering with his own Musical Sacrifice. Bloch’s Concerto Grosso No. 1 provides a modern take on Baroque stylings, while Fine’s Dancing Winds plays the instruments off of one another in a way that brings to mind modern dance.
*This performance is currently open only to CSO subscribers, but tickets may become available to the public once subscribers have completed their seat selections. Check back regularly for updates.
Please note: Patrons can begin taking their seats no earlier than 30 minutes before the concert start time and must check-in before being seated. Printed tickets are not being used, and a hand sanitizer station and extra masks will be available. Attendees must wear masks and adhere to the CSO's COVID-19 related concert health and safety guidelines, which can be found here.
