The Chattanooga Ballet partners with the CSO to tell Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale, a story about a man, a devil, a fiddle, and being happy with what you have. One of our favorite composers, James Stephenson, has created the sequal to The Soldier’s Tale with The Devil’s Tale. This is a narrated piece that continues the story. “Stephenson not only understands the essence of the Stravinsky, he recaptures it and creates a vivid rejoiner.” – Grego Applegate Edwards The CSO’s regular venue for our Chamber Series, the Read House Silver Ballroom, will be undergoing renovations during our 2017/18 season. We are happy to announce that we have partnered with Chattanooga State and their Music Department as our Chamber Series venue for the season. The Humanities Theatre has fixed, raked seating of up to 300, allowing for more patrons to attend. The raised stage allows all patrons to be able to see the musicians from their seat. The extra stage space allows for us to collaborate with other art forms, such as dancers with the Chattanooga Ballet. Concessions will be available at each performance for purchase. We hope you’re as excited as we are to hear our wonderful Chamber musicians in what is still an intimate venue. Join us!
