Beethoven’s Fifth

The CSO marks the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth with Symphony No. 5. One of the most recognizable and significant pieces of music of its time, this symphony has been widely featured in movies, film, and other pop culture pieces. The evening will also feature guest artist Alexander Sitkovetsky on Brahms’ Violin Concerto, an impressive work that showcases the supreme skill of the violin soloist, as well as celebrated American composer Samuel Barber’s Second Essay for Orchestra.
