Valerie Duke is a native of Chattanooga, TN, and an alumna of Chattanooga High School Centre for Creative Arts (CCA) where she majored in Musical Theatre. In 2005, she traveled to South Korea with CCA’s Choo Choo Kids to represent the United States at the Gangneung International Arts Festival. Later that year Valerie moved to NYC to further her study of Musical Theatre. In May of 2010, Valerie auditioned for The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, and at the age of 23 was asked to join the prestigious ensemble led by famous trombonist Larry O’Brien. It was with Glenn Miller that she toured America, Canada, and Japan. In February of 2013, Valerie was asked to sing along side two well known ladies of jazz, Greta Matassa and Hedreich Nichols, at the 7th annual All Angels Jazz Festival in Kauai. Ms. Duke now spends her time traveling the U.S. as a vocalist, and is regularly featured with the Brad Walker Orchestra. She recently debuted some original music in her show titled “Never Say Never” at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre in New York City.
